Shipping and Print Associate

The Shipping Yard is a modern shipping, printing, mailbox, and custom apparel business that helps customers with everything from packing and shipping to banners, custom shirts, business printing, and creative projects. We are looking for a dedicated, dependable person to become the face of the business and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to think on their feet while helping customers with a variety of services throughout the day. Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
• Take customer orders in-store, online, and over email
• Build positive relationships with repeat customers and represent the business professionally Production & Printing
• Create simple graphics and edits using design programs
• Produce custom shirts using DTF printing and heat press equipment
• Print, cut, bind, laminate, and finish customer orders including flyers, posters, banners, labels, and business materials Shipping & Packing
• Pack customer items securely for shipment
• Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, and USPS
• Open and organize mailbox mail for customers
• Assist customers with shipping options, tracking, and packaging solutions Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to think independently and solve problems quickly
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs or more
• Comfortable learning shipping systems and print equipment
• Must be willing to obtain Notary Public certification within 45 days of employment Preferred Qualifications
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Previous experience in a print shop, shipping center, or custom apparel environment is a plus
• Experience with FedEx, UPS, or USPS shipping systems preferred
• Social media or creative design experience is a bonus Schedule & Availability

  9:00 AM
• 6:00 PM

Saturday:

9:30 AM

• 3:00 PM
• Morning availability is required
• Saturdays are required with one weekend off per month
• Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Flexibility to assist during busy periods and special projects as needed Compensation
• Starting pay: $11/hour
• 1099 independent contractor role
