Shipping and Receiving Laborer

Receiving Laborer Job Summary:

The position of Receiving Laborer will be a physically demanding position which will consist of the manual unloading of passenger vehicle, bus, semi-truck, and trailer tires from but not limited to Box trailers, Flatbed trailers, straight truck with box, straight truck with flatbed, hot shot 5th wheel trailers, pickup trucks, and occasionally from passenger car trunk areas. The tires will be placed on the beltline feed to the 1st machine (Green Giant) in the plant. They may also be asked by the machine operator to move the belt for processed material over the auger feed for the next machine or to position it to direct fill a dump truck or trailer for delivery of TDF (tire derived fuel) product. The PPE required for this position will be but not limited to Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses with side guards, Steel Toed work boots, lifting belt with back brace and lumbar support, and Leather Gloves. Care should be taken to avoid injury and the team lift method should be used if lifting super single, float type steer tires, or semi-truck, and trailer tires.

Duties:

• Unloading tires from delivery truck
• Stack 50 pound bags on a pallet
• Operate a forklift
• Operate a skid steer
