Shipping and Receiving Manager

Shipping & Receiving Supervisor A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating material flow, supervising team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring on-time shipments while actively working alongside the team. This opportunity is ideal for a strong warehouse or logistics leader with manufacturing experience, ERP knowledge, and a proven ability to drive accountability, improve processes, and support production goals. Responsibilities Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely movement of materials and finished goods. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including carriers, shipping paperwork, and internal communication. Manage pick lists, packing lists, shipment documentation, and inventory transactions. Safely operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts as needed. Team Leadership & Operations Supervise and prioritize daily work assignments for shipping and receiving team members. Train, onboard, coach, and develop employees while supporting attendance and performance management. Work alongside the team in shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to maintain workflow. Partner with production and purchasing teams to align logistics with operational needs. Inventory & Continuous Improvement Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and inventory audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to support operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards. Requirements 5+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment. 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong ERP experience, including inventory transactions and reporting. Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial settings. Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes, or willingness to obtain certification. Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and material handling. Preferences Prior experience leading shipping and receiving operations in fabrication, industrial, or metal manufacturing. Experience improving warehouse or logistics processes. Familiarity with KPI tracking such as inventory accuracy and on-time shipments.
