Shipping Coordinator

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a part-time shipping coordinator in our shipping department, you will be a bridge between our Client Services team and our clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the customer experience by leveraging our platforms' technology and ensuring consistent, presentable, on-brand and timely delivery of our products.

Hours:

Part-time, 5-10 hours/week Role is based 100% in-person (in Pullman, WA)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The shipping coordinator should be organized and comfortable with logistics, assisting our shipping manager with our company's shipping operations, with a focus on order fulfillment, kitting and drop shipping. A successful shipping coordinator is collaborative, communicative and focused. Ideally, the person in this role will have existing knowledge and experience pertaining to shipping and receiving, but prior experience is not required and we will train the right fit!

THE ROLE

As a shipping coordinator, you'll help manage inventory, processing orders for shipment, creating and printing labels, packing and kitting orders, scheduling pick-ups and handling drop-offs. You'll provide ongoing assistance for the shipping manager in the organization of the shipping warehouse and supplies and will assist with inventory, as needed. You'll work alongside our Pullman team, driving the client experience, helping us showcase our products in the best possible light and "wowing" the client with the package they receive. Shipping Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to:

• Managing inventory
• Pulling orders
• Ordering shipping supplies
• Kitting and packaging of client orders and marketing pieces, with a focus on clean, consistent and on-brand presentation
• Assembling PR packages
• Fulfilling client orders
• Writing cards and notes
• Organizing stock room space
• Receiving and counting in deliveries from our shipping partners
• Overseeing outgoing shipments
• Creating labels for new orders and returns
• Working with the shipping manager in complying with shipping industry regulations and company policies
• Acting as a liaison between management, carriers and customers
• Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment
• Working with the shipping team to resolve any potential issues with orders

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of experience in a retail or shipping setting preferred (open to training the right fit!)
• Having a car and current driver's license is preferable, as shipping coordinators may need to go to the company storage unit and the post office
• Self-starter that can easily decipher the task at hand and deliver on schedule without being micromanaged
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Mac OS a significant plus
• Must be comfortable with technology, as you'll be trained on shipping / logistics platforms and tools needed for the role
• Available 40 hours a week, in person in Pullman, WA
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
