Job Summary:
Process all documents and orders to insure the smooth flow of outbound and inbound shipments. Coordinate between operations and outbound drivers to facilitate and expedite all shipping and receiving processes. Process all necessary paperwork for hazardous and non-hazardous shipping and receiving.
Responsibilities:
Process and prioritize customer and transfer orders throughout the day. Monitor open sales orders to ensure all orders are processed. Review picking slips to confirm orders are complete. Coordinate with Customer Service on orders with shortages to determine shipping plans. Print SDS sheets for all outgoing orders and email Quality Control if they are not in the system. Complete all DOT paperwork, including packing slips and bills of lading. Verify that drivers have the correct hazardous shipping placards. Process inbound and outbound drivers by assigning doors and parking, providing instructions, and completing paperwork. Match paperwork and file orders from the previous day. Track expedited shipments to ensure they receive top priority. Scan all documents into AX under the appropriate sales orders. File all documents and orders. Use the Transportation Management system to select the LTL carrier for each order. Communicate with drivers and carriers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and dispatches. Maintain a proper inventory of all placards, documents, and supplies for hazardous shipping Work directly with inventory control to ensure orders will ship in full Communicate with other departments the status of orders. Control traffic in and out of the facility. Complete all required job-related training. Minimum Qualifications:
Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Hazardous Shipping Training (DOT) as specified by Hempel Solid knowledge of transportation and distribution High School or equivalent 2+ years of shipping, receiving or transportation administration What is in it for you? Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
