Job Title:
Forklift Operator
Pay Rate:
$18/hr.
Shift:
3rd (Starts between 10 PM- 12 AM)

Position Summary:
The Material Handler / Shipper is responsible for safely and accurately receiving, transporting, storing, and shipping raw materials and finished goods. This role includes operating forklifts and supporting warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and company procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down electric and propane forklifts safely and efficiently Receive, load, and unload trucks in accordance with company procedures Inspect finished goods for quality and accuracy during scanning and loading Accurately receive, count, identify, and inspect incoming materials using purchase orders Adjust purchase orders as needed to match received goods Monitor and safely unload bulk shipments into storage tanks Prepare and organize raw materials and packaging for storage using space efficiently Maintain cleanliness of shipping/receiving areas, equipment, and forklifts Report any equipment issues or mechanical defects immediately Complete and submit receiving documentation (freight bills, packing lists, etc.) Perform daily cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy Inspect returned goods and follow product disposition instructions Assist with reworking returned products (relabeling, repacking, etc.) Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Report unsafe conditions or practices to supervisors Support other warehouse or production tasks as directed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Forklift certification required Minimum 1 year of forklift driving experience Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred Good verbal and written communication skills in English Basic math, writing, and computer skills Ability to read a tape measure Understanding of quality procedures and standards Ability to qualify on lift equipment Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching Standing for long periods (8+ hours) Repetitive motion tasks Ability to maintain focus and safety awareness during extended shifts Must be able to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment Availability for overtime, including weekends Dress Code Requirements Steel-toe boots Jeans or work pants 100% cotton shirts (no hanging strings or buttons) Not permitted: Jewelry or facial piercings Nail polish, acrylic nails, or false eyelashes Full Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
