Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shipping Inspector, where your keen eye for detail and commitment to quality will ensure the seamless movement of products through our shipping processes. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting outgoing shipments to guarantee they meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Your proactive approach will help maintain our reputation for excellence and ensure customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment dedicated to precision and compliance. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of all outgoing shipments using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensions and quality standards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations including
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, HACCP, CGMP, andISO 9001
during the shipping process. Utilize advanced quality management systems like Calypso and perform regular quality audits to identify and address any discrepancies or defects. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to confirm that products meet specified tolerances through data collection and analysis. Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other precision tools to perform detailed inspections of complex components. Document inspection results accurately, maintain detailed records of quality checks, and prepare reports for management review. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve issues promptly and implement continuous improvement initiatives in shipping procedures. Experience Proven experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably involving medical devices or regulated industries. Familiarity with industry standards such asISO 13485, ISO 9001, HACCP, FDA
regulations, and CGMP is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with calibration and use of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify root causes of quality issues. Knowledge of quality systems such as QA/QC processes, quality management principles, and conducting internal or supplier audits. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to document findings clearly and collaborate across teams.
