Job Description

Office - Invoicing and Shipping Cardin Forest Products is a family owned sawmill and kiln drying operation located in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. We are currently seeking a candidate to assist in office duties as described below.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Administrative and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience in NetSuite or other accounting software
  • Project management skills
  • Experience multi-tasking with demonstrated track record in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working closely with sales teams and shipping departments is a plus Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Entering of purchase orders into system and review of purchase orders to ensure pricing is in agreement with standards
  • Maintaining accurate scheduling and records of open orders
  • Handle electronic scanning of various types of paperwork such as invoices, purchase orders, shipping document, etc.
  • Interact with the shipping department to timely arrange loads, process supporting shipping documentation, etc.
  • Once shipments are complete, communicate with the customer including sending the final invoice package or addressing any issues that may arise
  • Assist accounting personnel in the management of trucking/shipping operations including o Booking trucks o Tracking status of trucking on orders ready for shipment o Tracking the status of orders ready to ship o Development of daily reporting in order to inform and plan operations based on loads and scheduling o Notify customers of readiness of orders to be picked up
  • Manage tasks and company information in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner
  • When needed, occupy front desk to greet visitors/customers and answer/direct phone calls as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma
  • Must have strong social and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers
  • Ability to prioritize many different tasks at once
  • Ability to adapt to changes and requests from multiple requestors
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in an office setting including admin type tasks, some accounting skills but not required
  • Microsoft Office Experience - Excel Specifically
  • Previous experience supporting a team either in administrative setting or a sales support setting We are an equal opportunity employer.
