The Shipping-Receiving Coordinator supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipping activities in a temperature-controlled cold storage environment. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role manages documentation, scheduling, and communication to support accurate, timely, and customer‑focused shipping and receiving operations while working closely with the Warehouse Operations team, customers, and truck drivers.
Essential Duties Include:
Be a team player with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including order processing, appointment scheduling, and shipment tracking. Prepare, review, and maintain all required shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, manifests, and receiving records. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all shipping and receiving transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS). Communicate effectively with warehouse teams, drivers, customers, and internal departments to support smooth inbound and outbound operations. Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address delays, discrepancies, or issues to ensure service expectations are met. Conduct shipping and receiving audits to verify accuracy of orders, documentation, and inventory movement. Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with company policies and customer requirements. Provide high levels of customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting customer requests in a timely and professional manner. Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and operational procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts related to shipping, receiving, and customer service processes. Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as operational needs require, including working until the job is complete. Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. 2+ years of customer service or warehouse administrative experience; shipping and receiving experience preferred. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office systems. Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, follow-up, and accountability. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and internal teams. Ability to read and interpret policies, operating procedures, and business documents, and to write routine business correspondence. Ability to solve problems, plan, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) as required in daily warehousing operations. Commitment to following safety, food safety, and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand at a workstation and around the warehouse for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. • Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
