Shipping Supervisor

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Job description: We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Core Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct all aspects of Shipping and Receiving operations to ensure efficient output and on-time delivery of quality products to customers. Recommend and implement improvements to work methods and procedures. Track and monitor inventory of finished goods and raw materials to ensure proper stock levels. Address customer inquiries regarding shipment progress and collaborate with Customer Service to resolve issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and conduct. Oversee the maintenance and operation of shipping and receiving equipment such as forklifts, conveyor systems, and other related tools. Lead, develop, and motivate a team of hourly employees by fostering initiative, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing regular and constructive performance feedback. Train new employees and provide cross-training opportunities for existing team members. Collaborate with Customer Service, Production, and Procurement to prioritize and expedite shipments and coordinate material flow.

Qualifications:

Minimum of four years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing logistics, preferably in automotive supply or similar industries. Proficiency in modern logistics and inventory management software or ERP systems. Experience managing employees in a unionized environment is preferred. Strong analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering systemic improvements. High emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees, leadership, and external customers. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams while driving process improvements.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics management, business, or a related field is preferred.
