Summary This position is responsible for improving the efficiency of the Shipping department by ensuring shipping workers have the supplies they need, inventory is put away, and the Shipping division stays organized. This position has a versatile role working in multiple areas of FeraDyne's shipping department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure necessary inventory levels are maintained by verifying part counts and utilizing other inventory control principles.
• Suggest ideas for organizing the Shipping Division and help with daily housekeeping
• Make suggestions to improve processes. Participate in projects to identify process improvements. Assist in the implementation of improvements.
• Fill in for Shipping Workers as needed
• Effectively use a scan gun to locate products
• Read and scan pick tickets with great accuracy
• Scan products and return product to bin
• Pack products for shipment
• Build LTL and truck orders efficiently
• Confirm order and shipment information for accuracy
• Place EDI labels

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicant must pass a 4-panel drug screen prior to hire (expense paid by FeraDyne)
• High School Diploma or equivalent desired
• 1 year of Forklift experience

Competencies and Skills:

• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Basic Math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Reading comprehensive and writing skills Essential functions:
• Wear safety glasses for 8+ hours per shift
• Stand for 8-10 hours while working
• Lift 25-50 lbs overhead, push and pull objects up to 75 lbs (can be repetitive at times) Equipment used:
• Forklift (once certified)
• Pallet Jack
• Objects with sharp edges
• All necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as designated by area leader Hours are 6:30am-5:00pm Monday - Thursday, plus Fridays for occasional overtime.
