Shipping/Receiving Clerk

compensation: $22 per hour (commensurate with experience) employment type: Full-time job title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk Manufacturer seeking an individual to perform daily shipping and receiving functions. Those with experience should apply. You will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of orders before boxing or palletizing them for shipment. This includes the visual quality of the product before shipment. You will work from paperwork to generate the proper UPS, Fed Ex or DHL shipping tags for box shipments as well as generate other subsequent labels required (address labels, barcodes, etc). For pallet shipments, you will be responsible for pallet assembly and wrap as well as work with freight forwarders to provide the proper paperwork and coordinate pick up time. It will be your responsibility that shipments are picked up every day. For receiving, you will also be responsible for inbound shipments into the company by verifying what was received as well as complete paperwork and generate receiving labels for these goods. This also includes e-mails sent daily indicating what was received. You will then deliver and put away the goods received in the appropriate department. Other minor tasks will be included as they relate to the shipping and receiving function. Experience with shipping UPS, Fed Ex and DHL for both domestic and international shipments Experience with assembling and strapping pallets Good written/verbal communication/e-mail skills Good typing skills Professional attitude and presentation. Attention to detail Training will be provided Hours and Compensation This job is full time, Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm and 6am to 2pm on Friday.
