Title of Open Position:
Shop Custodian Summary :
This position maintains a safe working environment by cleaning and performing routine building maintenance within the dealership's Service, Parts, & Upfit Departments and shop areas.
Job Responsibilities :
Cleans (including sweeping & mopping) all surfaces and floors within the Service, Parts, & Upfit Departments (shop and other areas as assigned) Performs routine building maintenance (inside and outside) Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures. Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly. Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager. Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs. Runs errands as directed by shop foreman. Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations. Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection. Maintains professional appearance. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements :
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to work in a team-based environment. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs At least 18 years of age Ability to commute to work on time for duration of shift Must be able to submit and clean background check.
Work Hours & Schedule :
Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
