Shop & Field Laborer A home design business, located in Kalispell, MT, in the heart of the Flathead Valley is seeking a Laborer to add to their busy team. They have been helping customers for over 30 years and pride themselves on customer service and offering quality products for any budget. This hands-on role assists with slab handling, material preparation, fabrication support, and countertop installation while helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with fabrication tools, material-handling equipment, and installation crews in both shop and field settings.

Paid Holidays Essential Functions and Duties:

Move and stage stone slabs and finished pieces using forklifts, cranes, dollies, and slab handling equipment Assist fabricators with polishing, seam preparation, sink cutouts, and countertop build-ups Support countertop installations including leveling, seam setting, sink mounting, and final finishing Verify templates, assist with slab layout, and prepare materials for fabrication and installation Clean and maintain shop tools, fabrication equipment, and work areas to support efficient operations Follow safety procedures including silica dust control, PPE requirements, and safe equipment operation

Qualifications:

Ability to safely lift and move heavy stone materials with team assistance Familiarity with fabrication tools including grinders, polishers, measuring tools, and levels Ability to read templates, shop drawings, and field measurements accurately Understanding of countertop layouts, tolerances, edge profiles, and installation details Experience with stone fabrication, material handling equipment, CNC machinery, and/or digital templating preferred Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and clean driving record Our services are at no cost to you, so get in touch, quick!
