Shop Helper/Fabricator

Looking to hire a Shop Assistant that has experience working with tools, machinery and heavy equipment. Must be dependable and an adaptable team player. This position requires flexibility, in terms of duties involved and work schedule. Prefer previous experience working with stone countertop installation. Starting pay reflects limited experience. Higher pay for proven skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Support shop operations Safely load, transport and install stone countertops Use tools such as drills, levels, tape measures, grinders, and polishers Regularly lift, move, and position heavy stone materials Collaborate with team members, adhering to all internal processes Perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling Handle repetitive tasks and physical activities in a fast-paced environment Must be adaptable to work in fluctuating conditions, including extreme heat in the summer and extreme cold in the winter Maintain excellent attendance record - be punctual and dependable Must be able to work anywhere from 30 to 50 hours/wk, depending on workload Follow instructions & communicate effectively with coworkers and customers Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including wearing proper PPE Maintain a professional demeanor and display conduct in accordance with company standards and expectations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in stone fabrication or construction is highly preferred Demonstrate a history of commitment and dependability in previous roles Adaptability and a positive "can do" attitude Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for stone fabrication and installation Strong understanding of construction processes and site management Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

REQUIREMENTS
