Shop Mechanic

Job Opening:

Shop Mechanic A logistics company is seeking a mechanic for a repair shop to work with trucks.

Work location:

South Elgin, Illinois Responsibilities:

— Perform truck repairs — Diagnose and fix technical issues — Work with work orders and document completed repairs — Report needed parts and any additional issues discovered — Inspect the quality of completed repairs — Follow safety standards and maintain order in the work area — Timely inform the manager or foreman about delays, parts shortages, safety concerns, or other issues

Requirements:

— Hands-on experience in truck repair — Ability to complete tasks efficiently and on time — Understanding of truck mechanical condition, including brakes, tires, lights, suspension, leaks, and other critical defects — Responsibility, attention to detail, and professional communication — Willingness to work in a team and follow shop procedures — ABS repair experience — Experience with Diagnostic Link, Bendix, Wabco, JPRO — Engine valve adjustment on Freightliner trucks with

DD15/DD13

engines

Schedule:

Monday-Friday:

8:00 AM - 6:00

PM Saturday:

8:00 AM - 2:00

PM Pay:

Individually determined, based on experience
