Responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance of farm tractors and farm equipment. Always improving. Always serving. Always winning together. Exceeding expectations every day. Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on tractors and equipment Thoroughly cleans tractor and equipment parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary Oils and lubricates moving parts on tractors and equipment to ensure effective performance Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts Orders and installs replacement parts for tractors and equipment Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of tractors and equipment Repairs broken tractors and equipment quickly and efficiently Prepare reports documenting work performed Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on tractors and equipment Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Farm Operations Manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required Fill in throughout the farm positions that may need extra support during the peak seasons Trouble shoot and repair irrigation pivots Performs other duties as necessary or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required Extensive mechanical and electrical experience, preferably farm and irrigation equipment Diesel Engine experience

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Prolonged periods standing and walking Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery Must be able to visually inspect machines Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas Exposure to airborne particles or fumes Ability to withstand cold and warm working conditions Must be able to navigate various terrains while at farming locations and all departments of the organization's physical premises
