Shovel Operator Fiber Optic Bury Crew Helper

Fiber Optic Drop Bury Crew Assistant / General Laborer (Contract Position) We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to assist on a fiber optic drop bury crew. This is a contract position involving outdoor physical labor, underground utility work, and assisting with fiber optic installations for residential customers.

Responsibilities:

Dig trenches and assist with underground fiber line installation Run and bury fiber optic cable lines Assist with repairing underground plumbing and irrigation lines damaged during installation Mount and secure fiber optic utility boxes on residential homes Load, unload, and transport tools and materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist crew members with general labor and daily job site tasks

Requirements:

Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly Basic construction, landscaping, plumbing, or utility experience preferred Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required Willingness to learn fiber optic installation procedures Valid driver's license preferred

Work Location:

The crew meets in Livingston each morning; however, job sites are typically located throughout Trinity County, Liberty County, and Newton County.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with underground utility work Experience operating trenching or digging equipment Knowledge of basic plumbing repair techniques
