Job Description
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting customers to and from the dealership in a courteous, timely manner. This role requires a customer-oriented individual who prioritizes safety and provides friendly, reliable service, embodying Thompsons' dedication to delivering an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities Customer Transportation Safely transport customers to and from designated locations in a timely and courteous manner. Assist customers with entering and exiting the shuttle vehicle as needed, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued. Communicate estimated pick-up and drop-off times to customers, setting clear expectations for the service. Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions. Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to the Service Department to ensure the shuttle vehicle is always in safe, working order. Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle vehicle by removing trash and keeping the interior tidy, ensuring a pleasant environment for passengers. Customer Interaction & Service Provide friendly, professional customer service to enhance the customer's overall experience at Thompsons Auto Group. Address customer questions or concerns in a courteous manner, referring them to the appropriate team member when necessary. Communicate dealership promotions, services, and events to customers, acting as a knowledgeable and positive representative of Thompsons Auto Group. Administrative Duties Log and report each trip's mileage, time, and destination details as required by the dealership. Track shuttle schedule and maintain accurate records of customer pickups and drop-offs. Support other dealership staff with administrative tasks when not driving, such as assisting with customer check-ins or front desk duties, if requested.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a driver or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.Skills & Competencies:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic work environment. Professional appearance and demeanor, aligning with Thompsons' commitment to integrity and customer care .Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Capable of assisting customers with mobility issues, including helping with bags or other light items. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.Similar jobs in Placerville, CA
