Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Sign Language Interpreter, supporting an inclusive educational environment for students. This contract role offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, ensuring stability and balance throughout the school year. Your expertise in sign language interpretation will be vital in helping students access curriculum and communicate effectively in a classroom setting. What we're seeking: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably within educational settings Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to accurately interpret classroom instruction and communicate between staff, students, and families Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards Appropriate state and national certifications or licensure In this role, you will: Provide sign language interpretation for students during instructional and non-instructional times Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student learning and engagement Adapt communication methods to meet the needs of students with varying language skills Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student planning Support students' social and academic growth by fostering a supportive, accessible environment This position includes a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pay structure, offering peace of mind as you focus on making a daily difference.
