Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation:

Safely and skillfully operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and retrieve a variety of materials and products.

Loading and Unloading:

Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks, trailers, and rail cars.

Inventory Management:

Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, ensuring accurate placement and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This often involves using an RF scanner or other inventory management systems to track and record the movement of goods.

Order Fulfillment:

Pull and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that products are correctly picked, packed, and staged for delivery.

Safety and Maintenance:

Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor. Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and damage to products or equipment.

3:00 PM - 11:00

Certification and Experience:

OSHA forklift certification for sit-down counterbalance forklifts is often required or preferred. Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or production setting.
