Job Description:
Who we are: DEEP is an international design and engineering company on a mission to make humans aquatic. We're doing this by advancing ocean exploration through the development of new technologies that will enable humans to live and work in underwater environments for longer periods of time.
Role Description:
This is not a traditional facilities or hospitality role. As Site Director, you'll be equal parts operational leader and ambassador responsible for the seamless running of a world-class marine facility and for delivering extraordinary experiences to scientists, VIPs, and partners who share our passion for the ocean.
What You'll Own:
Site & facilities leadership, safety, maintenance, contractor oversight VIP & client experience, from first enquiry to post-visit follow-up Commercial development, partnerships, premium programmes, sponsorships Mission advocacy, representing DEEP to stakeholders & at industry events You might be the one if you have... Senior operational leadership experience in a complex, multi-function environment Exceptional interpersonal skills comfortable with high-net-worth individuals, scientists, and media alike Experience managing physical facilities, H&S compliance, and contractor relationships A genuine passion for ocean conservation, exploration, or environmental science A calm, solutions-focused approach and the ability to make sound decisions independently Willingness to live in or relocate to the
Florida Keys Bonus Points:
Background in luxury hospitality, private member clubs, or VIP concierge environments Commercial track record - partnerships, sponsorships, or revenue development Knowledge of marine, diving, research, or conservation sectors Familiarity with the Florida Keys regulatory and logistical landscape
