Position Summary The Site Experience Manager plays a vital role in providing structure and support to campers, guests and staff. This position oversees all office operations, including but not limited to checking in individuals arriving to camp, adjusting guest reservations as needed, communicating camper/guest needs to the reservation, program and property teams, filing and data management, overseeing the camp store; and performing various office tasks as needed. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule. Overnight communal housing is available; however, staff are not required to stay on camp. Meals in the dining hall will not be provided, however staff will be provided with a weekly food order and can prepare their meals in the kitchen in their staff lounge. Compensation for this position is $145

• $155 per day, with the starting rate dependent on previous employment at GSWW camps.

Camp Season 2026 will run from June 7th through August 18th, with start and end dates determined by position. For the 2026 season, site rental staff will divide their summer between Camp Robbinswold and Camp St. Albans. They will begin at St. Albans for the first week of training, then transition to Robbinswold for the second week. Staff will work three weeks at Camp St. Albans , take a short break, and then complete three weeks at Camp Robbinswold.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Observe and evaluate program specialists, scheduling weekly one-on-one meetings with staff to deliver feedback Develop weekly staff schedules for all activity areas based on reservation bookings Provide quality customer service via phone, email, or in person that resolves concerns by offering creative solutions in a timely manner Responsible for ensuring check-in and check-out procedures with guests/campers are followed. Maintains guest reservations, camper and staff files, release forms, and other records in accordance with confidentiality policies of GSWW and the American Camp Association. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the camp store including but not limited to set-up, tear down, inventory management, processing sales and coordinating with the Retail team as needed. Ensure the safety of all campers during their stay by following all policies, procedures, and protocols. Maintain quality control of programming, ensuring that it matches the abilities and interests of campers Support the development of the summer camp team through planning and facilitating training workshops, regular staff meetings, and coaching and feedback sessions Carry out established duties for general camp operations including camp cleaning, season opening and closing tasks, and completion of necessary paperwork This is a general description of the essential responsibilities of the position and is not inclusive of all job duties; other associated duties may be assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of and commitment to fostering environments that prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, racial justice, and belonging Comfortable working in a camp setting with a variable work week and hours, including overnight and weekend responsibilities Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective interactions with individuals at all levels and backgrounds, with the ability to work under pressure Demonstrated ability to prioritize project tasks and deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to navigate technology programs and platforms independently including Microsoft 365; ability/willingness to learn new technologies Supervisory Responsibilities This position supervises up to 6 Activity & Program Specialists This position is responsible for running camp independently with infrequent in-person visits from their supervisor Education and Experience Required At least 21 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working with youth 6-17 years old in a camp or recreational setting Supervisory experience (At least one season of a minimum of six weeks in a supervisory capacity, preferably in organized youth activities) Preferred Skills and Experience Knowledge of the Girl Scout program Experience managing similar youth recreation programs A valid driver's license and clean driving record and willingness to transport campers and staff in 12-passenger vans Other Qualifications Current certification in First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain Current certification of Youth Mental Health First Aid or willingness to obtain Satisfactory results from a background check Work Environment Summer camp is a fast-paced outdoor working environment. Employees are frequently exposed to loud noises, sensory stimulating situations, and physically demanding activities.

Employees should feel comfortable with:

Working outside in all weather conditions including heat, inclement weather, and specific environmental realities (humidity, wind, bugs, lake water) Residing in non-air-conditioned rustic open air living quarters, with pit toilets as potential restroom facilities Living in communal living conditions with limited privacy and infrequent, minimal access to technology Demonstrating emotional resiliency and regulation to handle extended, repeated stressful situations appropriately Walking over unpaved, uneven, hilly terrain multiple times a day Lifting and carrying supplies and equipment up to 35lbs Responding to emergencies including utilizing skills to administer first aid/CPR when necessary, including overnight Maintaining constant supervision and observation of program participants while assessing risk and participant safety
