Job Description

We are searching for a full-time site manager to join our excellent team in assisting us in the care of our animals.
Location:
Near Walterboro, SC Starting pay will depend on experience. Raises are given based on performance reviews.
Purpose:
Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Site Manager will work alongside and manage a team of animal care technicians. The Site Manager will provide work direction, assign tasks, provide feedback and address conduct, performance and safety. It is critical that the Site Manager creates a cohesive and effective team that adheres to all approved policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of care and safety.

Operations Manager Certifications Required:
A bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years in a management position
  • Experience managing a staff of 18+ team members
  • Background in a regulated industry where compliance laws and standards were strictly adhered to.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members. Proficient in both verbal and spoken communication.
  • Capability of analyzing issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Possession of a valid driver license. Reliable transportation to our rural location in all four seasons is required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including but not limited to feeding, cleaning, raking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to learn how to operate machinery such as commercial pressure washers, tractors, and UTVs.
  • References, a clean background check, and successful health screening will be required.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership :
Motivate team members to achieve high performance while maintaining a positive work environment.
Operational Oversight :
Responsible for daily implementation, enforcement, and oversight of approved policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of care and safety.
Performance Evaluation :
Assess employee performance, provide feedback, and set training goals.
Facility Management :
Ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well maintained.
Routine Walkthroughs :
Ensure the health and safety of all animals on site and that policies and procedures are being followed concerning the grounds.
Communicate :
Facilitate and maintain clear communication between all departments and leadership.
Manage Non Veterinary Inventory :
keep counts of all non veterinary animal supplies and place orders as needed.
Policy :
Become familiar with all SOP's and monitor employee compliance of all company policies and procedures.
