The Site Manager - Colchester, Vermont serves as the senior operational leader for the Vermont facility, with full responsibility for safety, quality, manufacturing performance, maintenance, labor, and financial results. This role carries direct P&L ownership (approximately $ 50 Million) and is accountable for translating strategy into execution by driving daily operations, embedding Lean practices, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement for over 150 employees and 70,000 square foot site

This position is currently based in Colchester, VT and is open to candidates willing to relocate. Explore your tasks and responsibilities Site & Operational Leadership Lead and drive all day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production aligned with customer commitments. Maintain accountability for manufacturing output, schedule adherence, capacity planning, and operational execution. Serve as the senior leader on site, setting expectations for performance, behavior, and results. Driving financial and operational improvement at a minimum of 10% year over year. Financial & P&L Ownership Own site‑level P&L including labor, overtime, scrap, rework, inventory, and margin performance. Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, and cost‑control initiatives. Deliver productivity improvements and Lean‑driven cost reductions. Lead annual CAPEX planning and execution. Safety, Quality & Compliance Champion a safety‑first culture through audits, reviews, and committee leadership. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and company standards. Serve as primary site leader for customer, vendor, and union matters. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Deploy and sustain Lean principles including standard work and waste elimination. Establish operating rhythm with KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and capacity. In-depth understanding of Lean principles to establish KPIs for performance improvement. Lead structured problem solving and corrective actions. Establish eight disciplines including but not limited to: fishbone, and FMEA. Workforce & Engagement Build a high‑performance workforce through coaching and leadership presence. Partner with HR and Union leadership on staffing and labor relations. Drive engagement, communication, and accountability. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, supply chain, and quality to improve manufacturability. Improve materials flow, equipment utilization, and inventory control. Ensure designs support labor and material efficiency. Working gross factory standardization globally. Show your expertise 10+ years of site leadership in manufacturing experience in multifunctional disciplines Proven success in Lean manufacturing environments Strong P&L, budgeting, and cost control experience Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field Lean training preferred Steel fabrication experience preferred.
