Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to lead and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance at a large industrial project at a large industrial site. This role is critical to maintaining a strong safety culture while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, client, and company safety requirements across multiple trades and subcontractors. The Site Safety Manager will serve as the senior on‑site safety authority, providing leadership, oversight, and coordination of field safety activities in a fast‑paced, high‑risk industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all site safety operations for a large, multi‑craft industrial workforce Develop, implement, and enforce site‑specific safety programs, policies, and procedures Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, client, and company safety standards Conduct daily field safety audits, inspections, and observations across all work areas Oversee and coach a team of site safety professionals and coordinators Participate in daily planning meetings, JSA/JHA reviews, and pre‑task safety meetings Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions Track, analyze, and report safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, leading indicators, etc.) Interface regularly with client safety teams, project management, and craft leadership Manage site safety training programs, orientations, and competency verification Support emergency response planning, drills, and on‑site medical coordination Promote a proactive safety culture focused on hazard identification and prevention Required Qualifications Minimum 7-10 years of safety experience in industrial, construction, or heavy industrial services environments Proven experience managing safety on large sites (500+ workers) ; experience with 1,000+ strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence supervisors, craft, and contractors Experience working across multiple trades (scaffolding, insulation, painting, E&I, mechanical, etc. preferred) Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, and respond to site emergencies as needed Preferred Certifications CSP, ASP, or
CHST OSHA 30
‑Hour (OSHA 500/510 a plus) First Aid / CPR / AEDHAZWOPER
