Job Title:
Site SupervisorJob Description The Site Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of industrial construction and installation projects, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and budgets. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and on-site customer representatives to coordinate electrical and mechanical installations, particularly in conveyor and automated material handling environments. The Site Supervisor maintains accurate documentation, drives schedule adherence, and serves as a key point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle from launch through completion. Responsibilities + Run daily operations at customer installation sites, ensuring all activities align with project plans, safety standards, and quality expectations. + Coordinate closely with project managers on job budgets, schedules, progress reports, and cost reports to keep projects on track and within scope. + Maintain detailed and accurate documentation that reflects real-time project progress, including installation milestones and schedule updates. + Install electrical panels and integrate them with mechanical systems, particularly within conveyor and industrial automation environments. + Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, ensuring they perform their work effectively, safely, and in accordance with project requirements. + Integrate subcontractor activities with overall project schedules and progress, identifying and resolving conflicts to minimize delays. + Regularly communicate with customer on-site representatives, including preparing and delivering progress reports and schedule updates. + Keep all key stakeholders informed on job progress, upcoming plans, and issues that could significantly affect costs, schedules, or performance. + Review and interpret technical drawings and schedules to guide installation activities and ensure work follows design specifications. + Enforce project specifications, standards, and safety requirements while driving adherence to installation schedules. + Support site development activities related to conveyors, construction, and industrial installations as required. + Use project management tools, including Microsoft Project, to track tasks, monitor progress, and report status. Essential Skills + Demonstrated experience in site supervision or site management within an industrial construction or installation environment. + Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical installation, including installing electrical panels and integrating them with mechanical systems. + Experience with conveyor installation and related industrial automation or material handling systems. + Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and project schedules, and apply them to field installation activities. + Proficiency with Microsoft Project for tracking schedules, tasks, and project progress. + Proven ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of work. + Strong communication skills for regular interaction with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customer representatives. + Ability to enforce specifications and drive installation schedules to meet project milestones and deadlines. + Construction background in an industrial setting. + High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working on large-scale projects in logistics, e-commerce, or parcel distribution facilities. + Familiarity with site development activities related to conveyors, construction, and industrial automation. + Comfort working within structured engineering and project execution frameworks. + Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain clear, consistent communication across teams. + Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that may impact cost, schedule, or quality. + Adaptability to support projects at different regional work centers, depending on business needs. Work Environment This role supports long-term industrial installation projects in large distribution and logistics facilities, including an 18-month project with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Site Supervisors work on active construction and installation sites that involve conveyors, electrical and mechanical systems, and industrial equipment. Projects are located across multiple regions, including distribution centers in locations such as Lansing, MI; San Diego, CA; Tracy, CA; Fayetteville, NC; Olive Branch, MS; Amarillo, TX; and Oklahoma City, OK, with project durations typically ranging from several months to over a year. The environment is fast-paced and schedule-driven, with a strong emphasis on safety, coordination, and adherence to project plans. Team members benefit from a structured engineering and project execution framework, as well as significant growth opportunities aligned with ongoing technology and automation upgrades in the e-commerce and logistics sectors. The regional work center strategy offers some flexibility in choosing where to live, while still supporting key project sites as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
