Position Overview:
Ready to put your skid steer skills to work and hit the road? We're a fast-growing business looking for a Skid Steer Operator to join our high-energy crews traveling from North Central to South Florida , working at solar sites managing unwanted vegetation with our patented technology and methodology. You'll be part of a tight-knit crew of 5-6 individuals , tackling a project- approximately two weeks long on average, before moving on to the next project location. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday , with lodging and meal accommodations provided for any job site more than 60 miles from home. Per diem paid for meals based on days worked. Key Responsibilities:
Operate skid steer machinery safely and efficiently in solar fields Assist with vegetation management using our patented technology and methods Perform routine maintenance on equipment Work successfully with team members and our management team to ensure project goals are met Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations set by our clients and the state of Florida. Travel to various job sites across Florida as needed. Follow all safety and hazard prevention protocols when handling and/or mixing herbicides and other chemicals
Qualifications:
Experience operating skid steers or similar heavy equipment (preferred) Valid driver's license (CDL a plus) with a good driving record (required) Able to work outdoors in Florida weather Flexibility to travel and work at different locations throughout Florida dependent on your home location. Knowledge of herbicides and related environmental knowledge preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods Strong work ethic and a positive attitude Attention to detail Ability to pass a drug test (required) Willingness to participate in a background check (required) Why Join Our Team?
