skilled craftsman custom fabricator / welder

Unite Two Design is a small custom fabrication and design shop located in Elbridge, NY. We collaborate with architects, designers, commercial and residential clients to provide full-service custom design, fabrication, and installation of high end metal furnishings and fixtures. UTD is seeking a talented individual to join our team of skilled craftsmen. We welcome applications from skilled carpenters, furniture-makers, welders, fabricators, cabinet-makers, and other designer/makers. MUST BE extremely detail-oriented. Show a demonstrated commitment to uncompromising quality and precision and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent shop environment is essential. We are looking for a team member with skills and potential that complement the creative and technical strengths of our existing team. Minimum Requirements

• 2-4 years of fabrication experience using a variety of materials
• Skilled with a range of hand and power tools, and shop equipment (band saw, drill press, grinding/sanding machines, etc.)
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and drawings and set-up / lay-out projects accordingly
• Excellent follow-through from project preparation, build, finish and installation
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field installations Desired Characteristics Previous experience with field installations, support, and troubleshooting Previous experience with cnc plasma and or cnc press brakes Comfortable with MIG and TIG welding Experience with manual machining & milling Experience in architectural metalwork & fabrication Knowledge of patina and other custom finishes OSHA 10 certification preferred UTD is a dynamic work environment, ideal for someone who is creative, driven by quality, and enjoys challenges.
