Sumiden Wire Products Corporation is seeking a talented Skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician. Must be able to work nights (7:00PM
  • 7:00AM).
Prior Maintenance Experience in a Manufacturing facility is required. Recent Trade School graduates or top performers may be considered for this challenging role.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER PAY
Starting pay begins at $30.00 per hour, with the opportunity to increase up to $36.00 per hour upon successful completion of on-site training and required testing. Employees may further progress to a maximum of $40.00 per hour after five years of service, contingent upon successful completion of advanced training and testing requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains dependable operations of production and quality systems by ensuring safe and efficient function of all machinery and mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have electrical and mechanical abilities Perform troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. Perform troubleshooting of complex control systems. Perform preventive maintenance as required on specified production machinery. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintain parts, tools, and supplies inventory by following established programs within the department. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
None EDUCATION and
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience with Multi-crafted skills. Working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics. Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools. Ability to read and interpret schematics, gauges and dials Licensed to operate forklift equipment. Proven steady work history.
LANGUAGE / SPEAKING SKILLS
English Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to verbally communicate with staff and vendors.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math, basic geometry, basic algebra, tolerances, and units of measurement.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills are necessary.

HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoors (66% to 100% of the time). Frequently outdoors (33% to 66% of the time), all conditions, often for extended periods. Occasional exposure (1% to 33% of time) to paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc. Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to work in awkward and confining positions.
