Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Inspire and support student success as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming coastal community. This full-time, contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving students with moderate to severe needs in preschool, elementary, or middle school settings. Multiple positions are available, providing the chance to impact learners across various age groups and educational stages. Ideal candidates will bring experience and passion for working with diverse student populations, designing specialized instruction, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. This is a rewarding opportunity to foster growth, independence, and confidence in exceptional learners, with caseloads across preschool, elementary, and middle school.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching credential appropriate for California Previous experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet students' unique needs Passion for helping every student reach their full potential
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities, in line with IEP goals Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers such as speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists Monitor student progress, documenting and reporting outcomes regularly Adapt lessons and teaching strategies for multiple learning styles Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment Communicate proactively with families to support student growth and success Experience meaningful professional growth in a collaborative setting dedicated to student potential.
