Job Description
Position Summary We are currently seeking Sports Skills Coaches with expertise in: Football - Wide Receivers Football - Quarterbacks Soccer The Sports Skills Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality, sport-specific instruction to athletes of varying ages and skill levels. This role focuses on developing both fundamental and advanced skills, improving game understanding, and preparing athletes for competition. The ideal candidate is passionate about athlete development, able to create an engaging and structured training environment, and committed to helping athletes reach their full potential in a safe and positive setting. This position works collaboratively with strength and conditioning staff and other coaches to provide a well-rounded training experience. Key Responsibilities Design and lead individual and group skill-development sessions for athletes Teach proper mechanics, technique, and game strategy appropriate to the athlete's age, experience, and position Evaluate athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to support growth and goal achievement Collaborate with strength and conditioning coaches to align sport-specific training with overall athletic development programs Track athlete progress and maintain performance data using training software and/or coaching logs Motivate, mentor, and support athletes in a positive, professional, and disciplined environment Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff regarding development, expectations, and progress Maintain a safe, organized, and clean training environment Assist with the planning and execution of camps, clinics, showcases, and other training events Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in sport-specific training and athlete development Qualifications & Skills Strong knowledge of sport-specific skills, mechanics, and training techniques Experience coaching or playing football (Wide Receiver or Quarterback) or soccer preferred CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with athletes of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels Comfortable using training technology, software, and performance analytics tools Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to create a positive, energetic, and athlete-focused training environment Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related field preferred 1-3 years of coaching and/or playing experience at the competitive high school, collegiate, or professional level preferred Physical & Schedule Requirements Ability to actively demonstrate drills, movements, and sport-specific techniques Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds Work is performed in indoor training facilities and outdoor fields/courts Availability to work evenings and weekends based on programming and athlete schedules We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
