Job Description

  • This position will travel to Delaware, Jay and Wells counties
  • The Skills Coach Leader will hire, onboard, supervise, and retain Skills Coaches and Skills Technicians to develop confident and competent clinicians.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role, all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. These essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Lead and manage the Skills team (Skills Coaches and Skills Technicians), ensuring staff are well-trained, supported, and compliant with all mandatory training requirements. Provide ongoing supervision, shadowing, mentoring and as needed support over Skills Coaches and Skills Technicians. Responsible for training and development of each subordinate staff. Manage, lead and motivate staff to deliver high quality outcomes as indicated by defined performance measures. Perform to meet or exceed metrics set for success indicators, retention of staff, positive banks for service hours, etc. Conduct regular assessment of quality care such as chart reviews, quality calls, and other assessments to ensure appropriate clinical services are being conducted by subordinates. Evaluate and monitor demonstrated competencies for Skills Coach and Skills Technicians. Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to build a high-performing team. Responsible for performance reviews, competency reviews, time-off approvals, disciplinary actions, payroll processes, and career development initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Occupational Exposure Risk Classification:
The normal work routine involves minimal exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. The normal work routine has a minimal ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment. The position may require a minimal amount of physical exertion (bending, lifting, twisting) in the work area.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or six (6) years of experience in a relevant field.
Experience:
Prefer two (2) years in a mental health setting. Prefer one (1) year in management.
Certificate or Professional License:
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • certification must be obtained after hire and prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must be maintained and kept current through employment. BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid
  • certification must be obtained after hire and prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must be maintained and kept current through employment. Valid driver's license and active auto insurance coverage. Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks Must be a minimum 21 years of age. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
