Job Description
Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting elementary-aged students in a dynamic educational setting. Work closely with a resource team to provide essential services to a manageable caseload of 25-30 students in grades K-5, all within a single, collaborative campus. This contract role spans the entire academic year, beginning August 17, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. You'll keep a consistent weekday schedule, working 35.5 hours per week from 8:25 am to 4:00 pm.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY eligible Current licensure or eligibility for Illinois SLP licensure Experience in school-based settings or with elementary populations preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environmentResponsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language services to a caseload of 25-30 K-5 students Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and therapy plans Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide resource efforts Attend new staff training (date to be determined) This contract role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in one school community while working regular school hours.
