Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication and language growth in a dynamic special education school district. This onsite contract role spans the 2026-2027 school year with multiple positions available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to nurture K-12 students' success, with placements tailored to your background and expertise.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license (please provide verification) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Prior experience working in school settings—K-12 or special education environments preferred Strong ability to tailor services for diverse learners, adapting to a wide range of student needs Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to ethical, student-centered practice
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy and intervention to K-12 students with speech, language, and communication disorders Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and regularly monitor student progress Provide consultation and resources to families and educators, supporting generalization of skills in school and home environments Maintain thorough documentation of all services in compliance with school district policies Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of an interdisciplinary team Stay current with best practices and ongoing professional development
