Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our manufacturing team. The SMT Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly lines to produce high-quality electronic products. This role requires hands-on machine operation, troubleshooting, and adherence to strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, focused on productivity, and committed to continuous improvement and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
Set up, operate, and monitor SMT assembly equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens Load components, feeders, and solder paste to ensure continuous and efficient production flow Perform machine changeovers, line setups, and program adjustments based on production requirements Inspect circuit boards and components for quality, accuracy, and defects using visual inspection tools and microscopes Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain productivity Follow work instructions, schematics, and production documentation to ensure accurate assembly Document production data, defects, and machine performance in required systems or logs Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards Assist with training new team members on SMT processes and equipment as needed
Qualifications:
1-3 years of SMT experience preferred Ability to obtain IPC-610 certification Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Must meet visual acuity and physical requirements for precision assembly
Shift:
2nd shift: 1pm-10pm Monday - Friday
