Job Description

Adecco is immediately seeking a SMT QC Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of surface mount technology (SMT) printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. This role ensures product quality by identifying defects and performing precision soldering repairs to meet IPC standards and customer specifications. This is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position. It is 1st shift 7:45 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Typically Reports to:
+ Lead, production manager, management, and other key personnel
Qualifications:
+ Must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident. + Must have the ability to work efficiently and work well in a team environment. + Must be punctual and have good attendance. + Minimum high school diploma or
GED + 2-3
years of experience in SMT assembly inspection and rework, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and use measuring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of various electronic processes and machinery related to the industry. + Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
Physical Demands and Activity:
+ Use of hands and tools to properly perform the job.
Main Functions:
+ Conduct visual inspections of SMT PCB assemblies for solder joint integrity, component placement, polarity, and alignment. + Identify and document defects such as tombstoning, bridging, insufficient solder, and misaligned components. + Perform rework and touch-up soldering on SMT components using hand tools and microscopes. + Verify repairs meet
IPC-A-610
Class II or Class III standards, depending on customer requirements. + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve recurring quality issues. + Maintain accurate inspection and repair records, ensuring traceability and compliance. + Possess knowledge of IPC-610. + Works with travelers to guide their work and the assemblies through the manufacturing process. + Must have experience in quality expectations and the processes by which to implement them. + Understand and properly use materials provided by process engineering to perform the job and make sure that all equipment is running properly and safely on a daily basis. + Immediately notifying the lead in the event that any equipment is malfunctioning. + Performing all required preventative maintenance and maintenance for the machine's operation and documents per our "Good Documentation Practices Procedure" on the proper logs. + Maintain a clean work area. + Perform proficiently at a quality standard set by the company's mission and commitment statement.
