Job Overview As a Director at Environmental Design Group, you will oversee and manage projects and employees within the Group. Projects may include right-of-way acquisition services, title research, right-of-way plan development, right-of-way negotiations, and field survey services related to the above tasks. This position will be responsible for these on a regional basis. As a leader at Environmental Design Group, a Director will provide technical oversight, client management, and general oversight of the entire Group. This forward-thinking position requires a passion for the industry, strong financial acumen, and established leadership abilities. As a Director of Right-of-Way Acquisition at Environmental Design Group you will: Directly and indirectly, supervisor associates within the Right-of-Way Group by providing ongoing direction specific to project tasks, budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Lead the Right-of-Way Department by setting strategic goals, objectives, and performance metrics in alignment with the company's strategic vision. Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to integrate survey services into various projects. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of Right of Way Services. Ensure all work complies with applicable laws and standards. Develop and maintain client relationships by delivering exceptional services and ensuring client satisfaction. Review and approve client deliverables to ensure quality assurance and control. Participate in business development activities, identify new opportunities, and perform client presentations within the region. Stay informed about technological advancements in surveying and implement relevant tools and techniques to enhance the survey process. Work with project managers to ensure that assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule while meeting client needs, business objectives, and design guidelines. Establish and oversee the implementation of technical protocols for the Right-of-Way Group. Manage the Right-of-Way Group's financials; develop and grow top-line revenue and financial targets; and manage financial model for staffing and resources. Promote the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategies. Evaluate market trends to sustain and grow the Service Group. Identify project risks and monitor/mitigate them throughout the project lifecycle. Guide the development and implementation of the Group's business plan. Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned for the organization's best interest.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field; master's degree is preferred. Licensed surveyor and License Engineer in the state of Ohio. 10+ years of relevant experience. 7+ years of supervisory experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment. Excellent presentation skills.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Occasional evening work may be required as job duties are in demand.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day. Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
Supervisor Responsibility:
This position will directly and indirectly supervise employees. Environmental Design Group is a teaching organization, and all leaders within the Company are expected to pursue personal development opportunities for themselves and promote development opportunities for their teams. The Director position will demonstrate organizational values and promote a positive company culture. As a leader in the Company, a Director will be expected to model appropriate behavior and lead by example.
