The primary focus is providing oversight of land use, zoning, and preservation staff that review development applications, compose ordinance and plan amendments, support advisory bodies, and conduct outreach to the community. The Deputy Director - Planning provides direct supervision to three division managers, and is asked to serve as Director on an as needed basis. The position also manages major planning initiatives for the Town including but not limited to attainable housing programs, comprehensive regulatory updates, and in-depth studies that bridge the gap between policy and implementation.
