A Military Compensation and Benefits (Comp) and Pension (Pen) Exam Specialist plays a critical role in providing accurate evaluations and assessments for military personnel regarding their benefits, compensations, and pension eligibility. Job Description:
The Military Comp and Pen Exam Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations that determine the medical and psychological conditions of service members and veterans. This role involves assessing claims for compensation and pension benefits as mandated by governmental regulations and policies. Specialists collaborate with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, military personnel, and administrative teams, to ensure all evaluations align with legal and ethical standards. This is an In-Person position and you must have your own office that is compliant, there is an tremendous back-log in this city.Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Conduct Evaluations:
- Perform in-depth medical and psychological examinations of military personnel and veterans to assess service-related conditions.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools and protocols to ensure evaluations are consistent and reliable.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and submit detailed reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on evaluations.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulations set forth by the Department of Veterans Affairs and other governing bodies.
Client Interaction:
- Facilitate interviews and discussions with service members to gather relevant medical histories and personal accounts of their service-related conditions.
- Provide clear explanations about the evaluation process and address any concerns or questions from clients.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, legal teams, and benefit counselors to review cases and facilitate the appropriate awarding of benefits.
- Engage with military organizations and advocacy groups to stay informed about current issues and changes in policies related to military benefits.
Stay Abreast of Regulations:
- Continuously update knowledge on federal and state laws regarding military compensation and pension benefits.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance evaluation techniques and keep current with best practices.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of evaluations.
- Review peer assessments and provide constructive feedback where necessary.
Advisory Role:
- Serve as an expert consultant regarding compensation and pension evaluations for military organizations and stakeholders.
- Present findings in hearings or meetings when required.
Continuous Improvement:
- Gather feedback to improve the evaluation process and enhance client experience.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and guidelines for new specialists in the field.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of military healthcare regulations and veterans' benefits.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and report writing.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to empathize and provide support to clients in challenging situations.
- Proficiency with medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records.
Job Types:

$50,000.00- $350,000.
