Job Description

Staff Psychologist Birch Psychology — Denver, Colorado Position Overview Birch Psychology's clinician role is designed for a clinician interested in providing psychotherapy and consultation services within a collaborative and specialized clinical environment. Psychologists may also have the opportunity to provide psychological assessment services. The clinician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values consultation, thoughtful case conceptualization, and collaborative care. Birch clinicians integrate relational, dynamic, and attachment-based approaches with behavioral and skills-based interventions depending on the needs of the patient. Clinicians at Birch work with individuals and families across the lifespan and often develop areas of specialization over time. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a range of presenting concerns and clinical populations. Additionally, Birch Psychology is a dynamic practice that provides a multitude of services including group therapy, workshops and presentations. Our clinicians hold areas of specialization in grief and loss, trauma, early childhood mental health, child/adolescent/adult and family psychology, psychological assessment, and relational and couples therapy (among others). The practice emphasizes clinical depth, collaboration, and professional development, with multiple consultation groups that support high-quality patient care. Core Responsibilities Clinical Services ⁃Provide psychotherapy services across a range of presenting concerns and patient populations
  • Deliver services across modalities including individual, family, couples, and group therapy
  • Doctoral-level clinicians may also conduct psycho-educational, developmental and social-emotional psychological assessments
  • Develop thoughtful case conceptualizations and treatment plans ⁃Provide outreach as well program development or workshops in specialty or niche areas Clinical Collaboration
  • Participate in weekly consultation meetings with clinical colleagues
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture of peer consultation and support Practice Development
  • Maintain and sustain a full-time clinical caseload
  • Participate in professional development and community networking (Quarterly outreach, workshops, groups, participation in practice events). Location This position will be primarily based at one of our locations: Birch Psychology — Capitol Hill 950 N Logan St, Suite 101 Denver, CO 80203 Or Birch Psychology — Centennial 6881 S Holly Circle, Suite 205 Centennial, CO Qualifications Required
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology
  • Active licensure in the State of Colorado (Psychologist)
  • Current malpractice insurance
  • Two years experience working in outpatient or private practice settings
  • Strong technology and documentation skills Preferred
  • Experience working with multiple age groups
  • Experience integrating multiple therapeutic approaches
  • Doctoral-level training in psychological assessment Compensation ⁃
Compensation:
Pay at 60% of collected fees. ⁃
Retirement:
401(k) with 4% employer match. ⁃Health Insurance or Stipend ⁃
Leave:
CO sick leave (48 hours) ⁃
Professional Development:
$750 annual CE allowance. ⁃Liability coverage: Employer-paid professional liability insurance (up to $750 annually). ⁃Employment status: W-2 employee with employer payroll tax, FAMLI, unemployment, & workers' comp coverage. ⁃Electronic Use Stipend Schedule This role is intended to be full-time, 40 hours per week. General office hours are 9-6pm, though scheduling flexibility may include evenings or weekends depending on clinician preference and patient demand. It is generally expected that employees work 48 weeks out of the year.
