Job Description
Charge Capture Demonstrated compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. Receives and reconciles daily charge tickets by provider to schedule. Contacts clinic for missing items. Prepares batches by matching labs and 24/7 reports. Identifies missing items. Accesses portal and retrieve coded spreadsheets. Matches spreadsheets to prepped batches and identifies missing items on spreadsheet. Reviews line items to identify possible miss match or coding issues per policy. Enters charges based on departmental policy. Reconciles each batch according to policy. Maintains missing documentation file and follows up per policy. Adjusts Self Pay accounts per policy. Follows up on all missing items with coders and other staff. Requests missing or incomplete codes as per policy. Prepares and files batches for scanning and storage per policy. Completes registration and Insurance entry as indicated.
