STEM OPT
Training Plan. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Develop proactive, customer-centric culture, foster trust and confidence among our internal customers in EHS, operations and engineering. Provide general support to EH&S staff and engineering organizations during engineering planning, design, and construction activities for individual projects and routine/recurring work. Provide support to EH&S staff and other organizations concerning EH&S project and programs rate case planning, accounting and appropriation, budgeting, scheduling, and milestone tracking. Provide executive-level status reporting across portfolio. Respond to operating department requests for assistance and support on EH&S issues. Conduct periodic compliance inspections in support of the International Standard Organization 14001 Program. Support Green House Gases source data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required while continuing to work under the guidance of a section manager. Qualifications Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of one year experience including cumulative work or equivalent internship/co-op experience OR six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience. Relevant Work Experience Must be highly motivated and committed to delivering excellence in the area of EH&S and recognize the critical importance of teamwork, required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required. Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), required. Ability to handle multiple work assignments, changing priorities, and meeting deadlines, required. Knowledge and experience in technical whitepaper drafting, capital and O&M work classification, appropriations and authorizations, budgets, schedules, and milestones, required. Skills and Abilities Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities Licenses and Certifications Driver's License Required Physical Demands Ability to read small print and symbols Additional Physical Demands The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
