THE POSITION

As a Budget Analyst 2, you will have the chance to support key financial operations that help programs thrive throughout Allegheny County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will support the financial planning and reporting work of the Department of Human Services. Work involves ensuring budgets, reports, and funding analyses are completed correctly and on time. As a Budget Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
Budget Preparation:
Prepare job setup forms, budget blocks, and funding entries with accuracy
Report Development:
Compile data from financial systems to create year end and budget reports
Financial Review:
Analyze funding levels and compare them to contract obligations to support decision making
Grant Management:
Develop projections for assigned grants and assist in preparing annual grant budgets
Contract Oversight:
Review contract adjustments to ensure correctness and proper processing
Collaboration:
Work with program offices to provide fiscal information and guidance
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time (hybrid), up to 2 days per week after 6-months of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Budget Analyst I; or two years of experience in technical budget administration work, and a bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
