Project and Policy Analyst 2 RP UCLA•4.3 Los Angeles, CA Job Details Full-time $29.17•$56.37 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Project team coordination Content editing Data reporting Project coordination Project timeline management Non-CDL Class C Task prioritization Quality control Full Job Description Working under the direction of the direct supervisor, the Senior Research Analyst will manage and lead components of the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) High Road Training Partnership (HRTP) Fund project. The SRA will manage projects and collaborate on all aspects of the evaluation process, including the evaluation design, workplan, methodology and instrument development, data collection procedures, analysis, and reporting. The Evaluation Specialist is expected to review professional literature in the field as needed and report on findings related to topics of interest, including best practices. The Evaluation Specialist will also collaborate with external partners and expand the Labor Center's evaluation capacity through staff trainings. We are looking for an evaluator with a strong commitment to culturally-responsive and equitable evaluation. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Qualifications 5-7 years Related research experience participating in large research projects in a field relevant to labor and low-wage work. (Required) 5-7 years Data Analysis, economic development, public policy, urban planning, labor studies/labor relations, or law; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Preferred) Participated in large research projects in a field relevant to labor and low-wage work, data analysis, economic development, public policy, urban planning, labor studies/labor relations, or law; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required) Experience with multiple research and evaluation methods, including strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, cultural and racial equity program evaluation design, participatory data collection methods, and knowledge of Dedoose, SPSS or other software programs and their implementation. Organizational skills to a) work independently with minimal supervision, b) determine workload priorities and tasks to complete work in a timely manner, and c) identify and resolve problems. (Required) Knowledge of California workforce development programs, labor movement, and social justice organizations. (Required) Project management and coordination experience, including adherence to project timelines, liaising with partners, developing workplans, and managing fielding and data plans. (Required) Proven systematic organizational skills to work independently with minimal supervision, determine workload priorities and tasks to complete work in a timely manner, while identifying and resolving problems. (Required) Interpersonal skills to interact sensitively and to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students, community leaders, government officials, and workers from diverse social, cultural and educational backgrounds. (Required) Demonstrated ability to write and edit engaging, clear, precise, and grammatically correct reports and articles, with strong attention to detail and quality control, for scholarly, policy, and popular audiences. (Required) Demonstrated written, oral, and visual communication skills to translate complex data and policy issues into easy-to-understand resources using "popular education" principles. (Required) Ability to work with a flexible schedule, as dictated by operational needs. (Required) Ability to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of participant information and follow the University's guidelines on work ethics and integrity. (Required) Familiarity with Labor Center professional goals and objectives, programs and constituency groups. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/ training (Required) Master's Degree Research management, designing and carrying out research and evaluation projects.
