Position Summary:
HII- Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Defensive Counterintelligence Analyst to support our customer within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services effort in Woodlawn, Maryland.
- Offer cybersecurity expertise to the CMS DCI team and coordinate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) on counterintelligence incidents
- Examine, evaluate, and maintain ongoing oversight of cyber-affiliated inquiries
- Identify and assess potential threat information, recommend mitigation efforts, and incorporate findings into formal reports.
- Conduct analysis in support of operational activities to assemble, correlate, evaluate and assess information concerning counterintelligence and intelligence threats against personnel, programs, information systems and/or facilities.
- Analyze information received to identify intelligence gaps and specify collection requirements to answer these gaps via appropriate collection means.
- Support counterintelligence and intelligence inquiries under the direction of the counterintelligence team lead.
- When appropriate, prepare intelligence information reports.
- Preserve the chain of custody of evidence received while supporting counterintelligence inquiries, to include but not limited to IT audit data and findings, using proper physical, operational, and information security measures.
- Evaluate threats to emerging technology under development within an enterprise, experience with Research, Development and Acquisitions (RDA) counterintelligence analysis preferred.
- Conduct counterintelligence briefings to personnel as required Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 7 years of relevant experience with master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent technical writing skills to include spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others.
- Familiarity with Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Classification Management Tool (CMT).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
- Top Secret /SCI security clearance.
- 1-3 years' experience in technical writing or editing with at least one year working in the Intelligence Community.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and language
- Experience with Cybersecurity assessments Preferred Requirements
- 10+ years of experience and familiarity with counterintelligence activities, investigations, operations, and analysis with a master's degree or bachelor's with 15+ years of counterintelligence experience.
- Experience conducting counterintelligence activities in a Title-50 or Title-10 environment.
- Experience conducting counterintelligence activities in a non-Title-50 or non-Title-10 environment.
- Graduate of a US Government CI Special Agent credentialing course.
- Graduate of an advanced CI course, including Operations, Surveillance, Collection, Investigations, etc #LI-DK1 Physical Requirements
