Duties Help Provides direct supervision to subordine staff and oversees the work, either directly or through GS-14 Team Leads, in a mrixed structure th includes civil service intelligence research and contract personnel. Delivers authoritive analytical direction, enforces rigorous tradecraft standards, and guarantees the precision, objectivity, and operional relevance of ITA's thre assessment outputs. Exercises final approval authority over all division products, including thre assessments, cables, responses to IC taskings, SETL rings and specialized reports, ensuring compliance with timeliness, sourcing and alternive analysis requirements. Directs the full spectrum of analytical activities, from basic descriptive reporting to current intelligence updes and forward-looking assessments th support DoS and DS decision making on protective security measures and resource allocion. Develops and sustains professional networks across the Department, IC, federal law enforcement, and select non-governmental experts to enable rapid informion exchange, joint analytic efforts, and validion of sensitive reporting. Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks the next lower grade to sisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstre the following: Experience providing authoritive informion on intelligence, thres, and other security reled analysis. Experience leading teams on technical and administrive mters, which includes: setting objectives, managing daily operions, and assigning and managing tasks. Experience collecting, analyzing, and defending analytical outcomes based on assessments of thres from terrorism, political violence, and crime affecting U.S. nional security. There is no substitute of educion for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
