Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a part-time (10-14 hours per week) Research Professional for the Zilverstand lab in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Anna Zilverstand, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and the lab Principal Investigator. The lab is part of the University of Minnesota Medical Discovery Team on Addiction, which offers a multidisciplinary research environment that includes faculty from Psychiatry, Psychology, Radiology, Neuroscience and Pharmacology. We are committed to developing the careers of all our team members. There will be frequent opportunities for interaction with graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty who work in both clinical and basic research.
Responsibilities:
Data management, analysis and documentation
- Documentation, data entry and management (e.g., REDCap, Excel, Matlab, R, Python)
- Behavioral data analysis (e.g., R, SPSS)
- Neuroimaging data analysis on the UMN MSI and CMRR servers: HCP and inhouse pipelines (e.g., ANACONDA, Python, FSL, AFNI, CONN, SPM)
- Participate in lab and team meetings
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors (BA/BS) in a health-related or computer science-related field from an accredited college or university
- Professional experience with data management (e.g., REDCap, Excel, Matlab, R, Python)
- Professional experience with behavioral data analysis (e.g., R, SPSS)
- Professional experience with neuroimaging data analysis (e.g., ANACONDA, Python, FSL, AFNI, CONN, SPM)
- Ability to work on-site if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional or volunteer experience providing one-on-one or group support to individuals with mental health disorders
- Professional experience with collecting research data from human participants
Demonstrated Soft Skills Necessary:
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to learn quickly
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize work demands and manage time appropriately

Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$15.25 - $23.00 per hour ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
