Job Description

Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) - (FY 25/26 Position grade: $132,419 - $190,353) annually depending on qualifications , plus a generous paid benefits package including PPO/HMO). Full-time exempt position. Opportunity to work on a one-of-a-kind traffic signal synchronization project extending throughout the Coachella Valley as well as the delivery of other challenging and complex transportation improvement projects. U nder general supervision of the Director of Transportation, assists in coordinating transportation project planning and delivery activities required to administer the Coachella Valley Transportation Program . Plans, organizes, implements, and manages transportation projects that may be associated with but not limited to Measure A, the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), Active Transportation Program (ATP), and other state and federal funding sources; ensures timely use of funds and adherence to program guidelines; and performs related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in engineering, planning, public or business administration, or a directly related field and five (5) years of experience in transportation and/or transit engineering and/or planning. Knowledge/background in transportation planning and land use planning are highly desirable. Analytical, organization and communication skills, as well as computer literacy (Microsoft Suites) in word processing, spreadsheets and transportation modeling are essential. A valid registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California is preferred, not required.
