at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description The Climate Change Policy Planner supports implementation of Delaware's Climate Action Plan as a key team member in the Climate and Sustainability Section within DNREC's Division of Climate, Coastal, and Energy. The role focuses on coordinating climate-related projects, tracking greenhouse gas emissions reduction metrics, and developing policies that improve community resilience to the impacts of climate change. Additional responsibilities include research and technical analysis across building electrification, environmental justice, and public health as they relate to Delaware's broader climate response. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Planner II Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: At least one year experience as a planner OR at least one year experience in a planning function. Experience in designing, collecting data, analyzing and presenting results of a complex planning project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team). Experience as a project manager on a less complex project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team).
